Following the recommended lozenge dosing improves chances of success.

Chances of staying off cigarettes are much better if patients start with at least 9 Nicorette mini Lozenges daily. For best results, they should use the lozenges on a regular schedule.

How to use

How to use Nicorette mini Lozenges

Using more than one lozenge at a time, or many lozenges one after another, can cause hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects.

Patients should not eat or drink 15 minutes before using Nicorette mini Lozenge, or while the lozenge is in their mouths.

Instructions for use. A patient should:

  1. Place the lozenge in their mouths and allow to dissolve slowly
  2. Minimize swallowing and not chew or swallow the lozenge. There may be a warm or tingling sensation.
  3. Occasionally move the lozenge from one side of the mouth to the other until completely dissolved
  4. Use Nicorette Lozenges according to the dosing schedule above

Patients should not use more than 5 lozenges in 6 hours and not more than 20 per day.
